Success isn’t a one-size-fits all term.
Networking, regardless of whether you are an introvert or an extrovert is one activity that can help you become more successful, whatever your endeavour.
Equally important is connecting and building relationships. Networking is the act of putting yourself out there so that you can meet people and looking to connect with like-minded individuals.
If you are focusing on actions that can make an introvert more successful, assuming the individual is a shy, introvert, you would be well advised to think of activities that would help build self-confidence. Many introverts have challenges with networking. It can be helpful to develop social and conversational skills to make networking a little easier.
As a former shy introvert, I no longer have difficulty networking with people I know and want to talk to, however I still find it challenging to walk up to a group of strangers who are in a conversation and interject myself. Technically, I know how to do it. I just don’t enjoy doing it and would rather avoid it if I can.
